​     As an Advanced Career Direct Consultant, I am certified to lead clients through the Career Direct® assessment to help them unlock the unique design the Lord created within them. Uncovering this knowledge can translate into a missional vision for their career and a life that is lived with passion and purpose. This comprehensive assessment can be used by everyone from high school students who need direction and guidance for the next phase of their lives; to those in careers that do not suit them. In particular, I have a burden for high school students and young adults who have the pressure of trying to figure out their lives and their majors at such a young age with usually no quantitative information to make those decisions. It would be an honor and privilege to walk alongside my clients down a journey of discovery and direction.  Not only do we walk through the results of the assessment, but in doing so, we affirm things the client might already know about themselves, uncover things they might not know or that have gone untapped, peel away labels falsely put on them or that they  put on themselves, and point them to their loving Creator who has designed them for a plan and a purpose. ~ Kim 

The Career Direct® Guidance System was developed out of a need for a comprehensive, biblically-based assessment that would help people better understand their unique gifts and find the career or educational path that best matches their God-given strengths and abilities.

Larry Burkett, renowned Christian financial author and speaker, noted that, "During the years I was counseling families on their finances, I frequently observed people in career fields that didn't match their talents and abilities. It concerned me that so many people were not aware of their strengths and, therefore, were not being good stewards of their talents. I began to hope that someone would develop a program that would help people understand their vocational bent and show them how to make the right career decisions. In 1989 I began working on this task."

​Kim Willson - Advanced Consultant

Kim earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing and a minor in public relations from Chapman University. Over the span of her career, Kim worked for a variety of clients including athletes, sports related marketing, restaurants, homebuilders, government agencies, and early Dot-com companies. Her experience also includes managing her previous employer’s corporate giving program and eventually the company's 501C3 foundation.  

After the birth of her first child, Kim spent several years running her own boutique marketing and public relations business as an independent contractor. In the years to come, Kim homeschooled all 4 of her children and started a homeschool cooperative to provide homeschool classes to children from 1st through 12th grade. Through teaching, mentoring, and interacting with students over the past 19 years, Kim has developed a passion for education and ministering to young people and considers it a privilege to come alongside them on their journey.

​ As a Career Direct®  Consultant, Kim is passionate about coming alongside high school students, young adults, and people of all ages to help cast a vision for a life lived with missional purpose by providing quantitative tools, guidance, and insight.

​Kim has been married to her husband, Steve, for 25 years, and currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina.
